That's me looking handsome. Mummy wiped me with a wet cloth and put powder on me after a walk. She says it's a dry bath.

I was really tired after the walk.

But still, I'm looking good!

Oh, Mummy let me walk on these weird stones. It's hard so walk on such surface! I ended up lying down when I saw an interesting leave. But it's not comfy at all, with stones poking at me.

{ I'm Back! }

Mummy brought me back on Wednesday and got me cleaned up. I've my room back and a new bed! I've got only half the bed left though. Anyway, I made a mess of my room today. I jumped and jumped to reach the toilet paper and kept pulling at it. I had so much fun! That was till Mummy found out.

And since I'm home, I've been on walks which left me really tired. Walks are usually about 1km with alot of sprints because I love trying to catch yiy and cici who always walk ahead of me. Mummy thinks I'm really cute when I lie down with my legs like that. I seldom do that, unless I'm really tired.

And when I'm really tired, I just lie there without moving even when Mummy snaps away. She loves making use of the chance to snap pictures of me.

See, I just lie there and rest.

Did I mention that I love my new bed?

Ahhhh. It's so comfy I tell you!

But it smells different, abit weird.

But still, I love my bed!

But the problem is that I've showed my love for my bed by bitting it. And it has got this hole at the bottom which is made of some plastic material. I took the cushion out and had such a good time biting it. But apparently, Mummy caught me and she took the outside part away. I'm left with the cushion, which is still really comfy though. Oh, and it has got my smell now, don't smell weird anymore. =P

Daddy got me a present!

And Mummy got a present from Daddy too, which was bigger. *hrmpz

And that's me decked out in my Christmas suit. But I didn't go anywhere in that though.

I look alot more like my hoomans wearing this shirt! But the lightings in Mummy's room sucked. It made me look so dark.

Opening my present!

Actually, I helped Mummy open hers too. =P

Mine is a ginger bread man! He's so cute and I couldn't wait to bite off his ribbon, and head. *opps.

And Mummy had a pet carrier! More like I've got a new bag! I knew Daddy loved me more. *winks.

{ Mummy's Back and Gone }

Mummy was finally back from her Bangkok trip on Wednesday night. I almost thought she wasn't coming back anymore. I've been trying so hard to make her come back! Even when I pee and poo at the wrong places and dirty myself, she didn't come back to wash me up! Everyone said I was smelly though they tried to clean me up.

At least Mummy got ALOT of stuff for me!

She came here on Sunday, early in the morning.

And after shopping for hours for her own stuff, she went to the pet section. There were so many dogs! She says I'm really lucky compared to them.

Obviously, she got me my beds, some chews, toys and quite abit of clothes!

And after that, she went in search of pet shops at Sukumvit. She said she walked 20 minutes from the train station before she finally reached this beautiful place. It's a shopping center called J Avenue.

They had lots of chews! There's sushi, carrots, dounuts, sausage buns.....It's just like the hoomans' food!

She got me some carrots, sushi, hotdogs and small chews.

The shop even had lots of pretty beds!

And alot of clothes.

With a nice view to top it off!

There's many nice cafes and chill out places there too.

Oh, the pet shop is called Prima Dog, on the third level. This is the entrance. =D

There's also a few pet shops around that area. She got me some stuff from this Thonglor Pet hospital shop too.

Lastly, here are all my loots!

And here are all my clothes.

Mummy tried on that golden one for me, and it fits really nicely. Mummy thinks I've seem to grow so much bigger since she left. Well, that's puppies for her! I'm a growing boy!

But before I can enjoy Mummy's company enough, she left me at the house next door so that her cousin can take care of me. The pomerian Duo Duo is kinda scary! He keeps chasing me everywhere and try to climb on me. I've got no idea what's he doing. Mummy says he's humping me, but what does that mean exactly?

I was really happy when she was back, especially when she got me so many things. But I was really smelly she says, and she wasn't too happy that I peed everywhere. *opps. It's her fault for leaving me behind! At least she bathed me and I got hugs before she left.

She's in KL now. I hope she comes back with some nice things for me soon!

{ Mummy's leaving }

Mummy brought me for a walk, bathed me, scrubed my room and pee tray clean. Chye jie jie and JH kor kor even came over to play with me. I was so tired and Mummy even let me lay on her tummy while she watched TV! That was really 'shiok'. It was really a good day.

Then I realised that Mummy's leaving for Bangkok. No wonder she's so nice to me. She says I'll be well taken care of and she'll buy me lots of stuff. But I'd rather have her around everyday you know.

*sigh. So, I'll only be back in a few days time. Lets hope Mummy comes home soon.

{ Finally! A walk! }

It's really cloudy outside with thunder and lightning. It's all gloomy and dark. To think it was just rather sunny a few hours ago. It has been sunny this morning, Mummy even sun-ed my bed under the sun to prevent it from becoming stinky.

Mummy's mum have been complaining that I'm smelly, the can smell me right from the first storey while I'm on the third. It's really not me, it's the pee tray and my pee, especially when the windows are opened really tiny since it's raining so much lately. I do get cold you know! So my smell stays in the house with the stale air. But I'm having my bath tomorrow and Mummy's going to scrub my room too. *yay!

Ah, the main thing is that I went for a walk today! It has been so long since I had a walk and being coped up at home means I've to much energy left in me. Obviously, I let it all out once I had the chance just now! Mummy finally brought me for a walk after she finish teaching tuition for the day. She's also feeling alot better though she still has blocked noes.

This was the first time I ran really fast! Mummy, yiyi and cici had a good laugh seeing me 'gallop'. And obviously it made me feel really good and I went even faster!

I was panting after the run though. We covered almost 1km. And Mummy wasn't too happy that I peed at the pavement just before crossing the road. I didn't want to pee on the grass when she asked me to. *sigh. I'm too used to pee-ing on hard ground. Even in the front porch, I'd rather pee on the stone tiles than pee on the carpet grass. *opps.

So here's a video of me running really fast. Maybe I can take part in some race for small dogs? I think I might have a chance, though my legs are so short.

Here's me, panting all the way but still wanting to run!

Then I resting while Mummy asked me to stay so yiyi can take a picture of me.

I was looking at Mummy's hand. Because everytime she puts her hand out and says stay, and I stay, I'll usually get some reward. =P
{ Orchard Road }

I've never been there. Mummy says it's not a place for dogs. =( I'll probably never ever be there anyway.

But Mummy showed me pictures. She says it's the most famous shopping area in Singapore, everyone who comes to Singapore will visit Orchard Road.

She went there with Daddy sometime last week. And it was raining so heavily. This was when she was hiding in the shelter, waiting to cross the road.

And this was when she was crossing the road. The rain was so heavy and the roads so slippery that this was the only shot she managed without getting wet or slipping and fall. It's kinda artistic if you ask me.

And this was a shot after she crossed the road safely, in the safety of the shelters.

Wow. I think I might be happier in my warm and comfy bed afterall! I can't imagine myself trying to cross the roads in that rain. I'm bound to get all wet since I've got short legs and people will be splashing water all over me when they rush to the shelters.

It looks like an interesting place though. Mummy should bring me there when it's NOT raining. =P
{ All about Chinook }

Feeding

Breakfast 830am

One small teaspoon of milk powder with water just enough to cover the base of the bowl with 4 level spoons of kibbles.

Lunch 2pm

Half scoop of milk powder (just below the first marking of the plastic spoon inside the tin) with water about 1/3 of the bowl. Mix with tap water but make sure all powder has been mixed properly.

Dinner 630pm
4 level spoons of kibbles or 3 level spoons of kibbles with a scoop of canned food. Canned food must be brought to room temperature if stored in fridge. I usually pour little boiling water onto the cold food to bring it to room temperature.

Treats
He can understand commands like sit, stay, down, shake hand and up. When he does them correctly or pee and poo in the right place, reward him with a small treat. Not too much though.
=)

Note:
Try to make him sit and stay still before you feed him his meals. He’ll get really excited once he sees food but be firm. If he whines or barks, say ‘AHHH! No!” and walk away. Come back after awhile and ask him to sit and stay again. He’ll get it after a few times. It’s quite easy for me, but he tends to try his luck and bully others. He usually finishes his food in less than 1 minute. But in case he doesn't finish his food, remove it after 10 minutes.

Toys and Play-time

Chinook has many chew toys and 3 squeaky toys (Hamburger, bone and ball). Interchange these 3 everyday.

Chinook loves the vegetable chews; replenish it when you don’t see them around anymore. His favorite is the orange carrot one. Those are edible and he usually finishes one in a day or two.

Let him out to run about and play as often as you can supervise him. DO NOT leave him unsupervised as he will probably be biting up your stuff at some corner. His favorites are rugs, cloths; wooden corners. He’s really fast so try to let him run in a room.

Sometimes he gets too wild while playing, especially with a lot of people around. If he starts barking a lot or try to bite, put in back into his playpen and ignore him.

When he barks, IGNORE him. Do not scold him or try to smack him. Just leave him alone.

Walks

He has his collar on, just hook on the leash if you’re bringing him out for walks. Try to avoid grass patches as he has not finished his injections.

Clean his paws with a wet towel after walks. If he’s dirty or smells, sprinkle some powder on him and just spread them evenly onto his coat.

Pee tray

He usually poo about 3 times a day. The first time is in the late afternoon, you can clear his poo when you feed him lunch. The second time in the late afternoon, you can clear it during dinner. Third time is at night, about 8-9pm. Try to clear before you go to bed. He will poo in the pee tray or around it (aim wrongly) but sometimes when there’s poo on the tray, he’ll pee right beside the tray. Maybe because he doesn’t want to go near his poo.

Clear his pee tray at least once a day. Just pour away his pee in the toilet bowl and rinse it with water few times before wiping it dry with toilet paper. I’ll usually spray the bitter water at the 2 sides to prevent him from biting and playing with the pee tray.

Others

He likes biting, so anything which you do not want him to bite, spray the bitter water on it.

He has a ready supply of water throughout the day, just refill it when it's running low.

If he can’t get along with Duo Duo, just put him in the playpen. He can get too friendly and not all dogs like that!

Do not feed him too much or try to smack him as he’ll become defensive and bark at you or try to bite.

If he’s having diarrhea or looking really lethargic or needs a vet for some reason, contact Joel. Ask him to bring Chinook to the Joyous Vet at Sunshine Place. He knows the place. Chinook’s card is in the bag.

So, that was what Mummy gave Fen jiejie. Mummy's going Bangkok with Daddy from the 15th to the 19th, so cici, yiyi and Fen jiejie will be looking after me. But when the whole family goes to KL from the 20th to 23rd, I'll go over to Fen jiejie's house which is just one house away. Mummy says my room will look the same because their house is exactly the same as ours. Mummy also said that Fen jiejie will be looking after another pomerian, Duo Duo. I heard that he's really obedient and quiet. I hope he plays with me though. I'm really not like what Mummy wrote! Not everything anyway.

It's still raining everyday and it's wet everywhere. Mummy refuses to bring me out because she says I'm still a 'baby' who hasn't finished my doses of injection. Moreover, ticks and fleas are more active during wet days and who knows what germs and disease lurk around. *sigh. It doesn't help that Mummy is sick and down with flu. She don't even feel like asking me to me to sit when I'm jumping around, she just gives that exasperated look. She's really no fun!

Ahh. These rainy days are making me feel so lazy. I don't even feel like running around much. I just sit on my bed to chew my favourite toys or nap. My bed is right at the door for me to lie or sit there, hoping someone will come play with me. At least I get to run around in Mummy's room. Whenever Mummy opens the gate and ask me to go, I'll dash right to her room. *grins.

So, I'm wondering what are my friends doing? Are they staying in like me too or are they lucky enough to have good weather for walks? =P

{ Vet : ECP : U.S. Dog bakery }

It's still raining EVERYDAY! No walks for me. *pouts.

Last Friday, Mummy came to me and kept asking me to pee. It's really weird because she usually leaves me alone after my dinner and I'll nap before waking up to poo. =P But she suddenly came instead of going down for her dinner. I was still happy despite being awoken from my nap.

She didn't manage to make me pee though. And I gathered that she was bringing me out! It was really a pleasant surprise! 7pm at night! So I happily got leashed and was running around in the living room while Mummy went to get some water and get ready for my outing.

Daddy came to pick us up awhile later, cici and yiyi joined me on the outing. I was happily looking at moving cars in Mummy's lap. I later realised that they were bringing me to the vet for the second injection.

We met this really BIG Golden Retriever outside the vet. He's so big and he kept wanting to come near me. Though Mummy kept asking me to make friends with him, I was rather apprehensive that I just hid behind Mummy's back while he tried to sniff me. Mummy had to carry me right infront of him while I stayed really still, and he sniffed me all over. Luckily, the vet came to ask for me right after! *phew.

This was a different vet from the last time because this is a free injection given by the pet shop. It's a 20 minute car ride from home. The vet was really young and friendly, they have a wooden table instead of the metal one. She even fed me this liquid which tasted weird, but I finished it up anyway. Just when I thought I was safe, Mummy held me while she tried to poke a needle into me! I yelped and struggled even before the needle went in. A strong-looking man came to hold me instead and I got poked. It wasn't too painful actually, but really itchy. Thank god it was over in a few seconds.

The vet said I was lean and Mummy can afford to feed me more. I TOLD Mummy I needed more food! But Mummy thinks being lean is good, else being on a diet is worst. Since I've got milk everyday and a shiny coat, she thinks I'm fine. And since I've grown from 2.0kg just 3 weeks before to 2.8kg now, it's kinda hard to convince her to feed me more.

Mummy thinks I should be rewarded because I was quite a brave boy. Daddy drove to U.S Bakery because Mummy wanted to get me some biscuites. A dog bakery just for me! Too bad it was closed. =(

I thought that's all for the night, but they drove me to East Coast Park because Mummy and Daddy haven't had their dinner and there isn't many place which allows me. But sadly, I was still not allowed, to the surprise of Mummy and Daddy. But they still sat at a corner and put me below the chairs though.

Poor me, I had to 'hide' below the tables and chairs while they ate happily! But it isn't too bad though, because I can 'hooman-watch' and there are some people who keep staring at me. I think it's because I'm really cute. But Mummy was afraid that we might be chased away and she was rather wary of all that attention.

This was what they ate. It looks really delicious! I didn't even get ANYTHING!

We left right after the meal though. Because this sign was staring right at us. I'll take this down and chew it into pieces if I could. I think Mummy would let me do it too. =P

I met quite a few friends there. There was this really cute poodle in this hawaiian shirt. She was so shy and ran away from me. I managed to kiss her on her cheek though. But she got angry and started growling and barking. *opps. And Mummy pulled us apart. When we were leaving she was still growling at us! Such an unfriendly dog.

And we met another Chihuahua. She was really tiny, even smaller than me. And she was poo-ing near this waterfall. She wasn't too happy to see me really. She kept wanting to dash towards me, barking. Ahhh. Needless to say, Mummy pulled me away too. *sigh. I really need some friends to play with you know. Though I'm happy that there are hoomans playing with me, saying how cute I am or asking about me, it's different from having a doggy friend! Where are all the friendly dogs?

I managed to hold all my pee and poo for more than 3 hours while I was outside. Mummy brought me to my pee tray once we got home and I immediately peed and pooed. Mummy was really happy with me. =)

On Saturday, Mummy left home after feeding me milk in the afternoon. She must have went dating with Daddy. I think they should just stay at home to play with me instead! But I was feeling sore after the needle poked into me the day before and spent the day zZzZZzz away in the nice-cool-rainy weather. When they finally came home, I was so happy!

See what Mummy got for me? U.S. Doggie Bakery cookies! She went back to get them for me! She didn't forget about me afterall.

See, isn't this cute? Christmas is coming!

Daddy got me a squeeky ball too. He says this can roll unlike all my other toys. And Mummy made me sit and stay before I get to play with my ball.

And finally, I've got some biscuits!! And again, I've to sit and stay. It's really unnerving you know, wanting something yet having to sit there and wait.

Mummy even got me meatballs! I had them for breakfast and dinner the past 2 days. It's all gone though.

Mummy kept the rest of the biscuits into this container. I've been looking forward to them the past few days. I only get a few of them in the afternoon. *slurps.

And this is me, lying on Mummy's lap as usual. This is my favourite spot, even better than the soft cushion Mummy gave me.

Mummy says I've been a good boy, because I pee and poo at the right place and saves her ALOT of trouble. I don't dirty my towels and bed too, so she needn't wash it every other day. *grins.

BUT! Mummy says she'll be going to Bangkok this weekend for 5 days. 5 LONG days!! How can she leave me home alone? *sigh. And the whole family will be visiting their cousins in KL after her Bangkok trip. I'll probably not see Mummy for a whole week.

The only good thing is that Mummy says she's going to buy me a few beds and ALOT of toys and clothes from Bangkok! I hope she keeps her promise. And when Fen jie jie who lives next door and is Mummy cousin looks after me when she's not around, I'll have a doogy friend! He's a 5-year old Pomerian. I hope he's friendly!

I'm going to prepare a shopping list for Mummy. So that she'll not forget me when she's having fun in Bangkok. *hrmpz.
